Gerber Downwind Drop Point Fixed Blade Knife Black

The Gerber Downwind Drop Point Fixed Blade Knife blends traditional outdoor knife styling with modern materials to create a practical workhorse for hunting, camping and general field utility. Its versatile drop point profile, machined G-10 handle scales and waxed canvas sheath give the Downwind a distinctive character while keeping functionality firmly at the centre of the design.

The 7CR plain-edge blade uses a classic drop point profile suited to controlled slicing and a broad range of everyday outdoor cutting tasks. Subtle jimping along the spine provides additional thumb traction, while a dedicated control choil helps establish a confident hand position when greater precision is required.

Gerber pairs the blade with machined multi-layer G-10 scales. G-10 is well suited to outdoor equipment because of its durability, dimensional stability and resistance to moisture. The ergonomic handle profile provides a secure, comfortable interface for the user, while the integrated lanyard hole offers an additional retention or carry option.

The Downwind's traditional influence continues with the included waxed canvas sheath. A security strap with snap closure helps retain the knife during transport, while the integrated belt loop provides convenient field carry. The waxed finish adds weather resistance while complementing the understated styling of the knife.

At 22.8cm overall and 130g, the Downwind Drop Point offers substantial fixed-blade utility without excessive bulk. Its combination of a versatile blade profile, positive control features, durable G-10 scales and practical canvas sheath makes it a capable choice for hunters, campers and outdoor users looking for a straightforward field knife.
