The 3.75-inch clip-point blade is manufactured from 420HC stainless steel, a proven material offering a practical balance of edge performance, corrosion resistance and straightforward sharpening. This version incorporates a serrated cutting section, adding useful performance when working through rope, cord and other tough or fibrous materials while retaining a conventional cutting section for general tasks.

A defining feature of the series is Gerber's Gator Grip. The handle uses a strong glass-filled nylon structure covered with a textured rubberised surface inspired by alligator skin. The result is a comfortable, high-traction gripping surface designed to remain controllable when conditions become wet or slippery.
