Gerber Exo-Mod Caper 7CR Fixed Blade Knife

Designed for controlled field work where precision matters, the Gerber Exo-Mod Caper combines a compact caping blade with lightweight full-tang construction. Part of Gerber's modular Exo-Mod system, it gives hunters and outdoor users a specialised cutting tool that can be carried independently or combined with other Exo-Mod tools to build a purpose-specific field kit.

The plain-edge caping blade is made from 7CR steel and shaped for detailed, controlled cutting. Its compact profile makes the Exo-Mod Caper particularly well suited to precision hunting tasks where a larger general-purpose blade may be less convenient. Control jimping and a dedicated choil provide defined contact points for the hand, helping the user maintain accurate blade positioning.

Gerber combines this precision-oriented blade with a full-tang construction for dependable durability. The skeletonised handle removes unnecessary material to reduce weight while maintaining the structural advantages of the full-tang design. The result is an exceptionally portable fixed blade weighing only 51g.

The ergonomic grip uses a distinctive blaze-orange finish, making the knife easier to identify amongst hunting equipment or locate when placed on the ground in outdoor environments. At only 18.6cm overall, its slender dimensions also make it convenient for pack or hip carry.

The Exo-Mod Caper includes Gerber's snap-together sheath system. Compatible Exo-Mod sheaths can be nested together, allowing hunters to select the particular combination of tools required for a trip rather than carrying a larger fixed kit. Used on its own or as part of an Exo-Mod setup, the Caper delivers lightweight, purpose-built cutting performance for detailed field tasks.
